Michael DeWolfe, at age 30, is the son of a father who dedicated his life’s work to medicine as a general surgeon and a mother who continues to be an active social worker. Raised in South Florida, Michael DeWolfe came to Chicago to pursue a career in medicine. Following his father’s footsteps, he will soon complete his general surgery residency at the University of Chicago. Despite his rigorous work schedule, he has continued to be one of the most active open mic performers over the past four years in the Chicago spoken-word scene. His lyrical prowess demonstrates an undeniable passion for social change, while capturing the spirit of humanity through the celebration of words.
