Darren Redmond known on the streets as Redstorm is the author of "Finders of lost souls." His new mission in life is to save souls as he was once lost. Redstorm's poetry is based on urban observations and author's thirteen-year prison experience. Born and raised on the Eastside of Chicago, 79th Street, where he still resides, Redstorm attended Horace Mann Elementary and South Shore High School. Many wonder how did such a gifted writer that comes from a solid foundation end up in prison. Well, Redstorm simply chose at the time to run the gritty Chicago streets and became involved with gangs and drugs at an early age.

Redstorm is actively involved in supporting the community instilling the values that he has learned to a new generation of youth .To provide them with options for knowledge and peace. Redstorm has been invited back to his third season on HBO Def Poetry Jam.
